Nineteen-year-old Angel Bianca Agustin has captured the crown of the 2025 Miss Asia Global 2025, marking another milestone for the Philippines in this international pageant. The coronation took place on November 4 at the Gokulam Park Hotel & Convention Centre in Kochi, India, where Agustin was announced as the winner after competing against 14 other delegates from around Asia and beyond.
Agustin’s triumph follows in the footsteps of her countrywoman Mary Eve Escoto, who claimed the title in 2017, making this the second time a Filipino has held the Miss Asia Global crown. Last year’s titleholder from the Philippines, Christine Glory Balboa, compet
ed in the same competition in India in November; Agustin’s victory thus continues a proud national legacy.
Not only did Agustin win the main title, but she also received the Best in National Costume award. Her sky-blue ensemble, richly beaded and featuring an ornate headpiece, took its inspiration from the Filipino moon goddess Mayari, creating a vivid visual of culture and myth on the international stage.
A native of the Philippines, Agustin previously represented Quezon City in the Hiyas ng Pilipinas 2023 pageant and competed in Miss Grand Philippines 2024 before breaking through on the world stage. Her victory embodies the pageant’s declared mission to celebrate “confident, ambitious and compassionate women from across the world” who exemplify “culture, intellect and charisma.”
With this newest accolade, she not only brings home a prestigious crown but also shines a spotlight on the Philippines’ growing presence in international pageantry and its vibrant pageant community.
