WINNIPEG – The Manitoba Amateur of Body Building Association (MABBA) held their 2012 provincial championships at the Pantages Theatre in Winnipeg on June 2 and local Pinoys were well represented. Vaneethy Tumolva placed first in the Figure Short category and won the Women’s Figure Overall. Kimberly Ho, who was featured in the April 16 issue of the Pilipino Express, moved up from novice status to win her category of Bikini Medium. Nerissa Walton placed very a respectable third in a field of eight in the Figures Short division.

Among the men, Brian Duaqui took second place in the Men’s Physique Short category and Darren Pacle was second in the Bantamweight Men’s category. Congratulations to all the Filipino-Canadian athletes who have worked so hard to earn their awards.
