One of the Philippines’ hottest love teams arrived and performed at the Burton Cummings Theatre on May 27th, 2016. James Reid and Nadine Lustre, together known as JaDine, became household names as a pair from their hit ABS-CBN teleserye On the Wings of Love.

Dennis Castaneda of DMC Productions gave the fans what they were hoping for – a chance to get up close and personal with JaDine during an intimate question-and-answer type of meet-and-greet at Pampangga Restaurant and Banquet Hall the night prior to the huge event.

The show opened with a celebration of our local talents, Annie Lux, Ruthelle Colobong, James Cruzat, and DJX on the turntables. The staff and volunteers of MYXZ Images provided media and coverage, helping at both the meet-and-greet as well as the main event itself. Accompanying JaDine on their Canadian tour were two impressively athletic and energetic dancers from the G-Force Poppers, and the highly entertaining comedian Chad Kinis who also served as the show’s master of ceremonies.

The venue was deafening as the countdown began after intermission, with fans revved up and ready to catch a glimpse of the highly anticipated duo. Without missing a beat, the two were on stage and entertaining their audience with both their original Tagalog songs and covers of the latest Top 40 hits. All songs were met with equal enthusiasm from the audience who were keen on singing along with each track. Such a supportive and responsive audience gave the young stars an energy boost.

Known best for their acting skills, they also were able to showcase their talents in singing and dancing as well – each big number ending in a pose that sent their audience into squeals of delight and a whole lot of kilig!

Kinis also brought on stage two members of the audience to act out a scene as JaDine took a slight break to rest and prep for their final set. At the end of the evening, they performed one last number as a group ensemble, to the rush of fans waving signs and holding up their phones to get the closest possible photograph of their favourite stars.

The sign of a well-attended and fan-centred event: the endless ringing in your ears as you drive away from the venue. Thank you DMC Productions for being an advocate for bringing JaDine to Winnipeg. We look forward to your next production!
