Kababayan welcomes you to Kroy Tire

In June 2016, Louver Sabater and his family immigrated to Canada from Palawan, Philippines.

Exactly ten years later, Sabater and his family are living a successful life in Winnipeg despite the adjustments and challenges of living in a new country.

Career-wise, Sabater is enjoying his managerial position at Kroy Tire – a dedicated tire sales and repair shop located at 893 Jarvis Avenue in Winnipeg.

“Back in 2016, I was working at Kroy’s affiliate, RTR/Reliable Tire Recycling. So technically, this was my first job since arriving in Winnipeg and I have been here ever since,” Sabater said.

Also serving as an operating partner, Sabater is the only Filipino at Kroy Tire and can talk to customers in English, Tagalog and a bit of Ilonggo.

“It’s an advantage to have a Tagalog-speaking staff, it’s easier for clients in terms of understanding and communicating, and of course honesty in dealing with people.”

Kroy Tire specializes in new and used tires for all kinds of vehicles, including passenger and commercial vehicles, trucks, farm loaders and others.

They are also expanding to mechanical services such as tire repairs, mounting, balance installations and more, according to Sabater.

“Tara na po, kababayan sa Kroy Tire! Give us a chance to give you a good experience with any tire needs. We also have an MPI Tire program throughout the year for winter and all-weather tires.”

Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
